Dear ELC Families,

 

First, welcome to the new families!  We are so excited to have you join our school and I know you will quickly experience the warm, fun, and close knit ties we all have within the SJCC community.  To our returning families, welcome back!

 

Dana grew up in Union, NJ and has lived in Summit for the last 7 years with her husband Ryan.  Dana's oldest son will be in Kindergarten in the fall and her middle son will be in Pre-K.. Alison Schilsky grew up in West Orange, NJ. She and her husband, Mark, moved from the Upper East Side in 2020.  Her son graduated from ELC in 2021 and will be in 2nd grade at Franklin in the fall and her daughter will be in Pre-K.  We are so excited to serve as the co-chairs of the Parent Committee for the second year!

 

The Parent Committee is designed to create connection and engagement within the school community through various activities. As parent committee co-chairs, we are here to help guide various subcommittees to plan social events for both kids and adults throughout the year, book fairs, school fundraising, charitable causes (Tzedakah), celebrations, and ways to make the school a better place both physically (gardening!) or through evolving changes in the classroom.  We are here to represent the parents and have your voice heard - and with your help, continue to make SJCC a leader in the preschool community!  Your child will be well prepared for Kindergarten when they graduate and will have an incredible experience along the way.
